Questions, answered
Everything about submitting, duels and voting.
What can I submit?
Any digital product that’s live and usable: a web app, mobile app, browser extension, developer tool, API or template. Physical products aren’t part of Vibe Duel.
Does it have to be built with AI?
No. Built with AI or without, everyone is welcome. We only ask how much of it AI built (all, most, some or none), and show it on your listing.
Isn’t this just a popularity contest?
On purpose, yes. Getting real people to show up is the skill being tested. Paying people to vote, bots and fake accounts don’t count, and obvious cheating disqualifies the product.
Can I run ads or email my list?
Yes. Any channel goes: social media, messaging apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger), DMs, email and newsletters, paid ads, SEO and your own website, communities and forums (Reddit, Discord, Slack groups), launch sites, blogs and podcasts, YouTube and influencers, events and meetups, your users, friends and family. What counts is that each vote is a real person voting once. Bots, vote farms and fake accounts get the product disqualified.
Does it cost anything?
No. Submitting and voting are free. There is no prize, only the title and the attention that comes with it.
Do voters need an account?
No. Voting is one click and a quick bot check. Each person votes once per duel, and votes from a single network are capped. Obvious cheating disqualifies the product.
How are opponents chosen?
By category. When submissions close, each category becomes a bracket and products that solve similar problems face each other.
Why does my listing need to be approved?
We check every listing by hand so the directory stays useful: the product has to be live, the category right and the text true and specific. Listings that look like spam are turned down. It usually takes a day or two.
